Amanda graduated in 2007 from Mount Ida College with a BS in veterinary science, and has been working as a certified veterinary technician ever since. She lives in central MA with her husband Brent, two trouble making bloodhounds, two cats and chickens as well. Outside of work she enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Keighlee has been a member of the River Road staff since April 2016. She assists with front desk operations as well as day to day care of animals on site. Keighlee is currently a second year student at the University of Connecticut enrolled in the pre-vet program. She holds several certificates in pet nutrition through her work at Pet Valu. Keighlee has been an animal lover and advocate all her life. She shares her home with four dachshunds, three cats and her chihuahua Ellie.
Jenna has been working in the veterinary field for 12 years now. She started with Dr. Sachdev seven years ago at Kennedy Road Veterinary Clinic and New England Veterinary Center and Cancer Care. She is our office manager but still helps out in the rooms and reception. She is a bully breed lover and shares her home with three pitbull mixes,and her cat(who thinks he is a dog). In her free time she loves being with her daughter, friends and family.
Brian’s interest in animal care began with family pets and, at age 11, attendance at the Connecticut Humane Society Kindness Club Summer Camp. He subsequently completed eight years of volunteer work for the Humane Society and the related Fox Memorial Clinic, received a Veterinary Assistant certificate from Manchester Community College and enrolled in the Veterinary Technology program at Northwestern Connecticut Community College. He graduated with honors from NCCC in 2016 receiving an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. Later that year Brian received his certification as a Certified Veterinary Technician.
Leah is a senior at the University of Connecticut, studying animal science and pathobiology. She is originally from Westford, Massachusetts. She has applied to veterinary schools throughout the country and is waiting to hear back! She loves singing, and is president of her A Cappella group Extreme Measures at UConn!
Elisa Lowe, CVT joined RRVC November 2016. She has been in the veterinary field for over 16 years, and certified for 9 years. She graduated from Northwestern CT Community College in 2007 with her associates in Veterinary Technology, and passed the National exam for certification. She primarily has worked in general practice, but October 2012 took a position working in emergency medicine. She enjoyed working, and learned so much in emergency, but in October 2016 she decided it was time to go back to what she liked doing the most; General practice. She is married, and has 3 wonderful children. She has grown up with pets, and has loved animals her whole life. Currently she has a 6 year old Basset hound named Archie, a 2 year old Pit Bull named Punky, and 3 cats; Suzie 11yrs, Gary 8yrs , and Thomas 10 months.
Erin started with RRVC in July 2016 and is our receptionist and assistant. Animals have always been a huge part of her life. She started in 4H as a child and was a leader for 10 years in Tolland County. She has experience with various animals including guinea pigs,goats, and llamas. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her children and family as well as her animal family that includes three dogs, cats and rabbits.
Cindy started with Dr. Sachdev at Kennedy Road Veterinary Center as his assistant about 14 years ago. She joined him at New England Veterinary Center and gained experience as an icu technician. She moved to Willington and joined our team in July 2015. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors and fishing with her fiance Fred, her children Addie and Nick. Her house is full of fur babies as well including her boxer, three cats, and lizard.
